Visit the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum (book your tickets online at least a month in advance so you don’t miss out) and then head to the island of Gozo to see the Megalithic temples there.

Families

Malta is fast making its name as a top Mediterranean family holiday destination that could just be your new fave place to take the kids. It’s got an amazing blend of exciting activities and seaside relaxation with something for all ages. Escape to one of the many beaches or go for something more action packed like diving or the range of outdoor activities. This small island nation is a major destination for watersports. Kayaking, windsurfing and so much more – if you’re seeking adventure on the blue seas you could not find a better place to do it. It’s one of the best diving destinations thanks to its natural coves and caves and its clear waters. Dive beneath the waves to discover a famous shipwreck and stunning caves. If you’d prefer to stay dry why not explore Malta’s rocky terrain on foot, on Segway or on horseback – the natural surrounds are truly captivating to explore.
