There are so many romantic things to see and do in Barbados.

First on your list needs to be watching the sunset from the Barbados Boardwalk. Located on the island’s southern coast, it offers some of the most spectacular views of the iconic Caribbean sunset anywhere on the Island. It’s also away from the jet skis and parties of many beaches so you can definitely find some peace and quiet to celebrate your shared love.

Barbados is rightly proud of its status as the birthplace of rum so a visit to the island’s oldest distillery, Mount Gay Rum Distillery is a must-do. Tours are available for you to learn more about the drink and for something truly satiating book the Bajan Buffet Lunch Tour and enjoy the island’s sumptuous cuisine, along with a parade of local cocktails for a romantic, lazy afternoon.

Hunte’s Gardens is a stunning natural oasis in the island’s interior. These gardens are home to an astonishing range of tropical plants. Bring along a picnic for a perfect romantic afternoon!

Barbados remains part of the British Commonwealth and much of that colonial-era heritage remains in the charming streets of Bridgetown. A port town on the crescent-shaped harbour of Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown’s boardwalks, promenades, malls and restaurants offer many lazy days of relaxation. The whole city is an UNESCO World Heritage site packed with history so don’t forget to spend some time exploring it.
