Move to Middle Earth

Though a small country of just over 5 million people, New Zealand Kiwis enjoy a high quality of life with government transparency and of course for their rich and active culture. It’s no wonder New Zealand has consistently topped the list of the world’s best countries. During the pandemic New Zealand closed its doors and is now getting ready to welcome back very eager travellers.

New Zealand is home to popular cities and areas including Auckland and Wellington as well as 700 small islands!

Wine Weather

New Zealand is home to so much to see and explore. As well as weekend trips exploring the beautiful wine regions, New Zealand is known to be adventurous (they invented bungee jumping after all) and you can even go Heliskiing if you’re brave enough. The climate in New Zealand is generally mild depending on the area, during their summer (December to March) is the perfect time to explore their beaches and outdoor adventures. Their winter (June – August) brings a nice average of around 12 – 16 degrees Celsius. Why not take a skiing trip or enjoy the hot pools?

You can’t talk about New Zealand without giving a mention to Lord of the Rings, the stunning landscapes and backdrops were showcased to millions in the original trilogy and following sequels and prequels. Tours are available to explore and are popular with locals and visitors.

The Grub

You’re sure to find your favourite foods in New Zealand, Kiwis are known to be welcoming and friendly people and the country has embraced international cultures.

As well as known favourites like New Zealand lamb and barbeque, a more unique and authentic cuisine is Hangi. Hangi is a Maori tradition of cooking food underground in what’s known as an ‘Earth Oven’, in the Rotura region you can taste an even more unique way of cooking, the geothermal wonderland is home to geysers, baths and natural mud baths. Due to the unique atmosphere food can be cooked in the natural steam.

Work life balance

With so much to see and do a good work life balance is even more important. New Zealanders regularly report a good work life balance and flexible working. The minimum wage in New Zealand has just risen to $21.20 per hour and seems to be regularly reviewed.
