Head out of the city at least once to see Iceland’s beautiful natural landscape, glaciers, volcanoes and mountains. Take a boat trip and go whale spotting, and see the stunning Northern Lights, the Aurora Borealis, from October to March. In the city, there are numerous historic sites such as Hallgrimskirja church, The Pearl, the National Museum of Iceland and the Imagine Peace Tower. Iceland’s capital has a thriving nightlife, head to Laguavegur, where you’ll find everything from late night bars to dance venues.
